Tee-Ball Coaches needed!
The Cambridge Baseball Club is looking to add a tee-ball team for 2026! Tee-ball is typically played by children aged 4-7 with trainings 75 minutes or less.
The goal of our tee-ball programme will be to teach the basics to players, help players develop self-confidence, a love of the game, team spirit, and to get them ready for little league (10U). We will be prioritising a positive and engaging environment to achieve these goals.
What makes a good a tee-ball coach?
- Someone who prioritises a philosophy of ‘fun first’. It can be described as a play date with baseball.
- Someone who has realistic expectations of the age group – understanding that these athletes have shorter attention spans and are still developing basic motor skills.
- Someone who will teach by demonstrating.
- Someone who will lead by example when it comes to good sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
- A tee-ball coach does not need a deep knowledge of the nuances of baseball.
